The 4th of July!

So to make the 4th of July super fun, we bought lots of fireworks that are illegal where Nate and I grew up. Tyler really got into lighting them this year, which made me very nervous. Samantha was her usual daredevil self and kept trying to touch burning things. We went to the city's firework show this year, which was surprisingly well done. Then on the 5th, we took a little road trip to Springfield, Missouri, about 2 hours from our house. We found the neatest little zoo called the Dickerson Zoo and we had a great time there. I think the highlight for the kids was feeding the animals and getting snow cones. Afterward, we went shopping at the Bass Pro Shop, where Nate bought a cool new sport-type watch. (Thanks Mom and Dad)
P.S. Doesn't Nathan look good in the pictures? He's gained all the weight back that he lost after his surgery and I think he looks wonderfully healthy!
