For the past three years, my friend Carin has lead a group of women called the "Sole Sisters" in a 1 mile/5K/10K race here in Rogers. This year my Audrey had a chance to participate. Carin made "Lil' Sole Sister" shirts for the younger females in the group. Audrey ran a 1 mile race with her friends and did great. Her mother ran the 5K and after sprinting at the end, wound up dry heaving at the finish line. She must be getting old or something.
For all you runners out there I applaud you. You must be made of stronger stuff than me. I have finally realized that although running is a great sport and helps you be skinny or whatever, I just don't like it. I can do step aerobics for almost an hour, swim, or zumba my booty off. But the constant pounding on my knees, shins and feet when I run is just getting to be a bit much. I think next year I may just do the 1 mile with my kids. We'll see....

Never being a big fan of running I understand your feelings completely! Way to go Audrey!
Alissa you have never liked running. You are soo funny. I was laughing at your post. I miss you.
Way to go, Alissa AND Audrey! I TOTALLY hear you about the running thing.....I'm not a fan either!
Way to go Alissa! I have never actually ran in a race. I need to do that one of these days!
You were my motivation...Oh come on, you know you have to beat the jogging stroller lady. Hopefully, we will both be in better shape next year, you won't be dry heaving at the finish, and I won't be pushing a jogging stroller.
Oh and don't worry, I puked a couple times at the Race for the Cure. But I wasn't pushing the jogging stroller. It was straight up embarrassing.
