Today after we got home from church, Nathan announced to the children, "if you want to see the biggest bug ever, come see this." I didn't even bother to look at the time since I was in a rush to feed everybody. So later in the afternoon when we went outside to go for a walk, we were surprised to see the bug was still in our yard, on the driveway actually. Nate was right, it definitely IS the biggest, furriest, strangest beetle-like bug we've ever seen! I just love the way the kids all got down on the ground to study it. Just another benefit of living in Arkansas!

oh! Their faces are so cute! Spencer says this is a Rhino Beetle?!!? Not sure I am not big on bugs!
Awesome pic though!
AAgh! It is enormous! ---Nana
That is seriously huge. Wow.
Ok, that is sooo gross! I don't think I have a hsoe big enought to squish that thing!!
Glad he picked your driveway and not mine!
HOLY COW!! THAT'S GIGANTIC!! MY KIDS WOULD'VE LOVED TO SEE THAT!
That is pretty disgusting!
Okay that's the sickest thing I've ever seen. I had to kill a stinkbug in my house last week and I nearly passed out. I poked it and it hitched up it's back end like it was going to spray and I had to crunch it and I nearly threw up. So I don't know what I would do if I encountered one of THOSE!
