So on January 7th, our oldest turned 11. Yes, only one more year till we're out of primary and becoming a deacon. Wow. It feels like just yesterday that he was baptized. We felt so bad for him this year because he got strep throat for his birthday. Really. We had planned a bday party that had to be postponed. Looking on the bright side though, it provided him with a day home from school, which he enjoyed even while in pain.
Tyler is a wonderful boy. I sure enjoy what good company he is. He will talk your ear off if you get him alone. He is a great help when he wants to be, as he is growing quite tall and strong. He has a desire to always do what is right. He is a leader and influences others around him for good. He is also becoming very perceptive. Just last night I was crying in frustration after trying for 2 hours to get my 5 year old to bed. As I was folding laundry he came up and gave me a big hug, telling me that everything would be okay.

Tyler is such a sweet boy!!! I remember going to the hospital when he was born and I was 11!!
