July Fourth

It was amazing to me to see how much the kids have grown this past year. For some reason I was thinking about it on the 4th of July. Last summer Lila was just a newborn and the kids hadn't even lived here for an entire school year. So much has happened since then and it is crazy how quickly children grow up! Tyler will be receiving the priesthood in 6 months and Audrey got her ears pierced. Samantha is almost 6 and Lila is turning into a toddler.

For the holiday we were pretty low key. Fourth of July was Tyler's first day of scout camp and we were tired after a busy week with the Burnetts, our awesome Florida family. So we took the girls out for a pizza lunch and over to the mall to walk around in the air conditioning. That evening we lit sparklers and smoke bombs, then made a campfire for s'mores. The kids seemed to be happy with that. It was nice not having to fight any crowds. Tyler enjoyed his scout day camp and I'll post more pictures of that later. Enjoy!
